Medical University of the Americas (MUA) has enjoyed more than a decade of rapid growth and achievement by focusing on key fundamentals–excellent faculty, small class sizes, a modern campus, a wide range of clinical affiliations and a cost-effective tuition.
Founders
MUA was founded in 1998 by a group of educators who were active in international medical education and were able to use their extensive experience and knowledge in its founding. A major impetus behind the founding of MUA was a concern over the severe shortage of physicians–a concern that remains today. A recent study by the American Medical Association predicts a shortfall physicians in the U.S. (200k+) and Canada by the year 2020. Since the seating of the first class, more than 1,000 physicians have earned their MD at MUA.
